  16. Others may respond in great numbers.  Here's my $0.02:

  18. NTSC is _going_ to do that.  I take it separation of passes
  19. (beauty pass/running light pass/etc. pass) is out of the question
  20. from your "time" comment, try using the "soft filter" and "motion
  21. blur" filters.  This was recommended to our LW users' group by
  22. Ken Van Brocklin (he's on here too) and he demo'ed the difference
  23. that it makes.  The other thing is to try setting your edge
  24. threshold to 25 or 30, if the differences between your lights and
  25. your hull are going to be pretty big, you _may_ not need that
  26. level of sensitivity.  This should decrease your render time
  27. somewhat.  If separation of passes is doable in your time frame,
  28. try it and use a different motion blur on the lights...it may
  29. actually look more like "persistence of vision" and maybe this
  30. will look nice to you as well.  Good luck!
